WOLF'S RAIN

『WOLF'S RAIN』（ウルフズレイン）はテレビアニメ作品。全30話。2003年1月から同年7月までフジテレビ系列で放送された。製作開始当初は全26話の予定だったのだが、製作者側の都合により途中に総集編4話が挿入され、ストーリーが完結せずに放送が終了した。残りの4話は2004年1～2月にOVAとして公開された。

WOLF'S RAIN　---ストーリー---
200年以上も前に絶滅したと言われる伝説の獣、狼（オオカミ）。しかし、実は狼は時折その姿を人へと変え、人間たちの目を騙しながら、密かに生き延びていた…。
そんな狼の若者の1人であるキバは、狼を狼だけに許された世界”楽園”へと導くという“月の花”の匂いを追い求める。ツメ、ヒゲ、トオボエら狼の仲間達、そして楽園一面に咲き乱れると言われる”月の花”より貴族が作り出した“花の少女･チェザ”と共に、キバは“楽園”を目指すべく、荒廃した惑星を舞台に、長く過酷な旅に出る。

Wolf's Rain

Wolf's Rain is a Japanese anime series, created by Keiko Nobumoto and BONES and directed by Tensai Okamura. Originally broadcast across Japan on Fuji TV and the anime CS television network, Animax, between January 6, 2003 and July 29, 2003, it ran for a full season of 26 episodes, with four more OVA episodes being released across DVD in Japan, on January and February 2004, completing the story.

Wolf's Rain　---Story---

Wolf's Rain takes place in a post-apocalyptic time when much of the world has been ecologically devastated in a form of fimbulwinter and most people live in poverty. A legend is told in the Book of the Moon that wolves are mystical beings who came to the world from a place called Rakuen (Paradise), at the dawn of time and will one day find a way to return to paradise. They must first seek out the Flower Maiden (a being created from the essence of lunar flowers) to guide them to paradise. This legend is nearly forgotten because wolves were thought to have been hunted to extinction nearly two hundred years earlier. Some wolves, however, have found a way to survive by coexisting with humans and blending into society, using illusions (not shapeshifting, as many have mistakenly thought) to appear human themselves.
